There is a considerable fishery carried on at Port Daniel, by a race peculiar to that place. They are descended from some French settlers, who attached themselves to Indian women; they are very indolent and improvident.
It is important to note that many of the summaries on this site are just drafts that were not initially intended to be shared. It is a work in progress made by amateur researchers with lots of passion.
